Two paintings by Malibu local and physician Daniela Schweitzer were selected by a panel to be included in the 30th Annual Made in California Juried Exhibition at the City of Brea Art Gallery. Painted in 2014 and currently on display at the gallery, Schweitzer’s 48×48 acrylic painting, “Conversation at the Beach,” won first place out of approximately 1,000 statewide entries.
Schweitzer found inspiration for her artwork through a photograph she took of two women enjoying a day of fun in the sun. In addition to medical work, Schweitzer is also a member of the Malibu Art Association, Malibu Artists Unite and Arts Angels at Malibu High School.
