Malibu Jewish Community Center & Synagogue hosted its annual Purim Carnival on Sunday. Families dressed in costumes of all kinds to join in the celebration. The event included pony rides, rock climbing, face painting, arts and crafts, games and a surfing simulator. People enjoyed barbecue food and a day with family and friends. This year’s Purimshpiel, humorous skits and songs, was “Shushan Night Fever,” a ’70s disco extravaganza led by Cantor Marcelo Gindlin and performed by members of the community.
