The 17th annual Malibu Pie Festival will take place on Saturday at the Malibu Country Mart central courtyard, located off Cross Creek Road in the Civic Center Area.
Homemade pies will be judged in seven categories, and there will be pie-eating contests. In addition, the event includes a silent auction and live music by The Melvin Eddy Blues Band and Steve Cole’s Jazzmaster Band. There will also be several activities for children, including face painting, decorating canvas shopping bags and hot drink mugs, and games.
The pie festival attracts people from all over Southern California. Local civic, school, and business leaders, service organizations and celebrities are expected to be at the festivities. The event is sponsored by Malibu United Methodist Church and supported by individuals and businesses.
