A flyer mailed this week to Malibu residents’ homes for Kathy Wisnicki’s City Council campaign names Mayor Pro Tem Pamela Conley Ulich as a supporter. But Conley Ulich, who is also a candidate in the race for three council seats, says she did not endorse Wisnicki.
“A flyer is being distributed which incorrectly lists me as the mayor pro tem as an official supporter without my authorization,” Conley Ulich said Friday night in a pre-written statement. “I believe very strongly in honesty and independence and as such have made a decision not to endorse any candidate in the upcoming election. And therefore I’m compelled to set the record straight before the April 8 election.”
Wisnicki did not immediately return a call for comment.
Conley Ulich said she called Wisnicki about the flyer, but has not heard back from her.
