Planning Commission votes against large La Paz project

At a five and a half hour meeting attended by approximately 100 people, the Planning Commission in the early hours of Wednesday morning recommended the City Council reject the 132,000-square-foot La Paz commercial project. The commission suggested the council should approve the 99,000-square-foot alternative that does not include a City Hall. The vote was 4-1, with Commission Chair Regan Schaar refusing to support either proposal.
