Terry Dean Gill, 66, died on Oct. 18 in Cedarville, Calif.
Terry was born in Burbank on May 7, 1951, to Joe and Maxine Gill. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and sister, Laurie Keenan, née Gill. He is survived by brother-in-law Scott Keenan and nephews Alex and Tyler.
Terry was part of the first graduating class of Malibu Park Junior High School and the class of ‘69 at Santa Monica High School. He attended San Diego State University.
During his life, Terry worked at Nantucket Light restaurant and family-owned Malibu Nite ‘n Day answering service. He was also a painting contractor.
“Terry enjoyed many surfing trips in Baja California as well as up and down the California coast,” a loved one recalled. “Terry leaves many friends made during his life in Malibu. He always made people laugh.”
A memorial paddle out for Terry will be held on Nov. 18 at 11 a.m. at the Point Dume end of Westward Beach Road.
