On Saturday, Nov. 14, at 6:15 p.m., the Malibu Search and Rescue Team (Malibu SAR) responded to a call for four uninjured hikers who were stranded beyond the dam area of Malibu Creek State Park. The hikers, one male and three females, were all 18 years old.
Malibu SAR personnel hiked into the Gorge area of the park through the Rock Pool. It was there that they made contact with the hikers. The hikers were given warm clothes and were loaded onto a boat and ferried to safety. The rescue concluded around 10 p.m. that night.
This was Malibu SAR’s 117th call for service in 2015.
