Local couple Kimberly Russell and Michael Bonewitz spoke at a Malibu Rotary Club meeting on Nov. 6, discussing how their family doubled from five to 10 earlier this year when they adopted five children whose single mother tragically passed away from lung cancer. Marie Jordanou left behind 9-year-old twins, a 10-year-old, 13-year-old and 15-year-old. Russell and Bonewitz are set to be granted legal custody of the children in December.
