The Dan Eldon Center’s Creative Visions Foundation (CVF) celebrated life and creative activism last Thursday night during its “slightly Kenyan tradition” of an August Sundowner event. Creative energy, good food and live music by Brazilian singer Monique Maion fueled the night’s event.

CVF cofounder Kathy Eldon said, “We believe our Sundowners play a critically important role by providing a venue where we can unite leaders in the entertainment world with the grassroots creative activists who are giving their lives to change our world for the better.”

A variety of items were on sale from the Burning Torch Boutique, with all proceeds benefiting Cura Orphanage, which creates a home for children who have lost their parents to AIDS in Kenya.
