Southern California Edison has six scheduled power outages for Malibu residents from Monday, Aug. 24 through Thursday, Aug. 27., according to information provided by the City of Malibu.
SCE outages will impact the following areas:
Aug. 24:
- PCH, pump plant tie with Malibu Colony, 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- North side of Bison Court, east of Fernhill Drive, 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Overnight Aug. 24-25:
- Encinal Canyon Road near PCH, 9 p.m. – 6 a.m.
- Northeast side of Stuart Ranch Road, southwest of City Hall, 9 p.m. – 6 a.m.
Overnight Aug. 25-26:
- Paradise Cove Road, south of PCH, 9 p.m. – 6 a.m.
Overnight Aug. 26-27:
- South side of PCH, east of Encinal, 9 p.m. – 6 a.m.
The outages will allow SCE workers to upgrade aging infrastructure, make needed improvements and complete other repairs to increase system reliability in the future. Various conditions could change or postpone the electrical work, according to SCE.
