I am a member of the Malibu High JV football team. I recently heard the unfortunate news about “no lights” being allowed at any of our games. This is not only a disadvantage for the football team but also for the rest of the school and the many local spectators who come out and support us.
We work very hard in putting together the best team that we can and I feel that certain members of the community are working against all our efforts. This is especially a disadvantage to our parents who work hard in the daytime and have only time to see our games at night. This also gives us teenagers something fun to do on Friday nights and keeps most of us out of trouble. I sincerely hope that whoever voted for “no lights” will please reconsider their stance for the youth of Malibu.
