I find it hard to believe that a city like Malibu does not have adequate tot lots, enough ball fields for our kids, ample space for seniors to attend emeritus classes, and a large central park for people to just sit and enjoy the wonderful ambiance of Malibu.
With the passage of Measure S, we have the golden opportunity to do the things that everyone agrees need to be done for our kids, seniors, and Malibu residents. Without the passage of S, the alternative is that there will be a large visitor attracting shopping center in our Civic Center, where our central park should be located; our kids will continue carrying flashlights to soccer practice; and all of our people will be denied the opportunity to attend local classes that will enhance the quality of their lives.
What Measure S is really all about is the quality of all our lives. For a better Malibu for all of us, vote “yes” on Measure S.
