The Pirates of Malibu Little League’s Major Division just completed their final season. The team made it to the championship game, falling in a hard-fought contest to the Cardinals.
Malibu Lions Club member Doug O’Brien, a longtime supporter of the league and sponsor of the team, threw out the first pitch in the Pirates’ playoff game against the Yankees. A youth baseball coach for many years, O’Brien offered encouragement to the team throughout the season.
