The GU12 Malibu United tournament team won third place at the Pot of Gold soccer tournament in Thousand Oaks last weekend. The local girls earned the spot after a victory over a tough Newbury Park team.
This was the first tournament for the newly formed Malibu team, which plans on taking part in more tournaments this spring.
