The following crimes were reported in Malibu between May 29 and June 1: 

6/1 

Dramatic exit

– A suspect stole $110 worth of items, including a Nikon camera, gym bag and Nike shoes, from a car parked at the Will Geer Theater on Topanga Canyon Boulevard while the owner was in a rehearsal. The car had an estimated $500 worth of damage to the front passenger door window, which was smashed.

– A second car was broken into at the theater, also with $500 worth of damage to the front passenger door window. A bag and two dresses, collectively worth $135, were taken from the vehicle.

Runaway

– A car parked on Pacific Coast Highway had $200 worth of damage to the front passenger window while the owner was on a run. Taken from the vehicle were $50 worth of items, including a Gucci wallet and credit card that the owner had hidden under a case filled with CDs.
