Medical marijuana expert Michael Backes spoke at the Malibu Library Speaker Series on July 15. Backes shared information from his book “Cannabis Pharmacy: The Practical Guide to Medical Marijuana.”
Backes offered an in-depth look at the benefits of medical cannabis, as well as the varieties of medical cannabis. He shared data on documented cases where patients found a change in their condition with the use of medical cannabis in illnesses, including Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes, cancer, asthma, arthritis, seizures and migraines, to name only a few. After the presentation, refreshments were served while Backes answered questions, offered additional information and signed copies of his book, which sold out before the presentation was over.
