The Malibu Times office, located on Las Flores Canyon Road, will be closed on Nov. 23 and 24 for the Thanksgiving holiday. The newspaper will observe normal editorial deadlines: people items and sports briefs will be due on Monday, Nov. 27, at 10 a.m. while letters to the editor, obituaries, calendar items and news briefs will be accepted through noon on Tuesday, Nov. 28. The deadline to reserve advertising space is Monday, Nov. 27, at noon.
Malibu City Hall, Senior Center and Community Pool will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 23, and the following day. As per Malibu Municipal Code, construction is prohibited on city holidays, including Thanksgiving. Malibu Library will also remain closed.
Malibu Bluffs Park will be closed on Thursday but will have normal hours from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; regular programs have been cancelled for both days. Trancas Canyon Park will be open both Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to dusk.
All Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District campuses will be closed on Thursday and Friday as well.
