Robbery at knifepoint at Cross Creek Road

Five people, including one juvenile, were arrested Monday this week on suspicion of armed robbery.

Deputies responded to a robbery call at parking lot near Malibu Cinemas on Cross Creek Road on Dec. 13 at 12:30 a.m., according to the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff?s Station.

According to the Sheriff?s Station, two male Hispanics approached two victims near their vehicles in the parking lot of the Malibu Cinemas. The first suspect pulled out a knife and held it to the first victim?s neck and demanded money. The victim told the suspect he did not have any money. The second suspect held a pointed object at the second victim, also demanding money. The second victim gave the suspect her money and both suspects fled to a waiting vehicle on the far side of the parking lot. The suspects? fled in a gray minivan that contained three other occupants. The suspects? vehicle left the location and headed eastbound on Pacific Coast Highway.

Deputies located the vehicle and conducted a felony traffic stop. Five adult suspects and one juvenile subject were in the vehicle. All of the suspects, who were from the Oxnard area, were taken into custody and booked on armed robbery and conspiracy charges with bail set at $100,000.
