Robert “Bobby” MacWilliams O’Neal passed away peacefully in his sleep from heart disease.
He was born July 26, 1952 to Douglas O’Neal and Elizabeth Grace Robinson-O’Neal and was named after his grandfather, Dr. Robert O’Neal, who was one of the founders of Santa Monica Hospital. Bobby grew up in the Malibu Colony and then moved up to San Francisco, where he really felt at home with the city and people.
“He was so adored by friends and family,” a loved one said. “He was a very sensitive, fun-loving person who was forever showering his friends with gifts, laughter and love. He will be dearly missed.”
Bobby is survived by his brothers, Scott, Tommy and Cary, and his sister Bonnie O’Neal Shirk. Services are pending.
