Way to go

In response to Julie Fusella’s letter in the March 29 issue regarding the Rambla Pacifico Homeowners Association’s Board and their pursuit of an alternate route to PCH, clearly Ms. Fusella is not aware of what has happened to prompt the board to pursue other options. The Planning Commission did grant a permit to the association to build a road connecting Rambla Pacifico to Pop’s Pass to Las Flores. To this date, the association has not been able to reach an agreement with the landowner of Pop’s Pass, who refuses to allow construction on his property until all of his demands are met. Because of this, the board is considering alternate routes while still negotiating with the landowner.

At the March 20 meeting, the association overwhelmingly voted to pursue these other options. The goal is to build whichever road can be built this year at a reasonable cost. The board has worked very diligently to get a completed road for the association. If Ms. Fusella had attended any meetings, she would realize this.
