The following incidents were reported between 10/4-10/15:

10/4

DVD deception

A laptop and $1,000 worth of educational DVDs were stolen from a vehicle parked on PCH at Leo Carrillo.

Odds and ends

An assortment of items including a car charger, sunglasses and a leather garment bag were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked on PCH.

Car caper

A car parked at Leo Carrillo was stolen and later found ransacked about a half mile away. A debit card was later used to withdraw $1,300 from the owner’s account.

El Matador misdemeanor

Cash was stolen after thieves smashed the window of a car parked at El Matador.

Sunglasses swiped

Sunglasses and a garage door opener were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in a garage on PCH.

Window wrong

A front passenger window of a vehicle parked on PCH was smashed but nothing was reported missing.

Battery break-in

A window was smashed and a Range Rover battery and jumper cable were stolen from a vehicle parked on PCH. 

10/11-10/12

Cassette crook

An audio tape recorder was stolen from the glove compartment of an unlocked car on Inland Lane.

Tech taken

A watch, iPad mini, iPhone 7, Northface jacket and sunglasses were stolen from a car parked in the Malibu Civic Center. 

10/15

Retail wretch

Two watches valued at $161,900 were stolen from a retailer in the Civic Center by a man who asked to try them on. The suspect fled on foot.
