The following incidents were reported between 7/22 and 9/8:

7/22

Break-in bust

A door and frame were damaged on a house on Busch Drive, but no items were reported stolen.

 

8/26

Purse plunder

A designer purse and wallet were stolen from a residence on Malibu Road.

 

8/27

Bimmer burglar

A door handle was damaged and a backpack and driveshaft stolen from a BMW parked in a structure on Las Flores Canyon Drive.

 

8/28

Car  caper

A window was smashed on a vehicle parked on Cavalleri Road and a wallet and cash were stolen.

Dark day

Sunglasses were stolen from a vehicle left unlocked outside a home on Skyline Drive.

 

9/2

Telephone taken

A Motorola android phone was taken from an unlocked vehicle on Filaree Heights Avenue.

Purse pillage

A purse and wristwatch worth about $700 were stolen from a vehicle parked on PCH.

 

8/24-9/3

Package pinch

Five packages were stolen from a mailbox on Decker School Lane, with contents valued at about $100.

Filched phone

A Samsung phone was taken from a vehicle at Malibu Bluffs Park.

Ransacked ride

The owner of an unlocked vehicle parked at a home on Skyline View Drive reported the car ransacked and dashboard pried open.

Jewel heist

Two suspects smashed the window of a car parked on PCH and removed bags containing a platinum and diamond engagement ring, necklace and watches valued at nearly $29,000.

Beach bash

A suspect loaded a patio umbrella and outdoor coffee table from a Civic Center business into a minivan and told security he was heading to the beach.

Rental ruin

Two signed football jerseys were found missing from a house on PCH after the home was let to short-term weekend renters.

Music mishap

A speaker was stolen from a vehicle left unlocked in a carport on PCH.

School blues

Two parents reported their vehicles broken into while dropping students off at school. Thefts include a purse from one vehicle and a MacBook Air from the other.

Car crime

A briefcase, eyeglasses and sunglasses were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked on Surfside Drive.
