[Sun. 4:30 p.m.] As of Sunday afternoon, power has been restored to all Malibu customers, according to the Southern California Edison web page.

Power is currently out for over 350 customers along Malibu Road and in Malibu Colony.

The City of Malibu today sent out an advisory that an urgent power pole replacement on Malibu Road would cause power to be cut to residents along the road and in Malibu Colony this evening.

As of 4:15 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, power remains out for 370 customers living along Malibu Road and in the Colony, with an estimated restoration time of 9 p.m., according to the Southern California Edison web page. There is no indication as to whether this outage has affected the nearby commercial area.

LA Sheriffs disclosed that there was a pole fire on Friday night on Malibu Road near the intersection with Pacific Coast Highway, although they did not confirm that there is a causal link between the pole fire and the outage.
