Mia Turturici, a third grader at Our Lady of Malibu School, donated 100 percent of the profits from her recent lemonade stand to Healthcare for Homeless Animals (HHA).
As a reward for her hard work, Turturici was given a tour of the Agoura Animal Shelter where she met a new canine friend, Thor, who happened to be adopted the day after Turturici’s visit.
HHA is a nonprofit that works with Agoura Animal Shelter to provide medical care to animals that are in danger of being euthanized for otherwise treatable conditions.
