Our Lady of Malibu School recently hosted the eighth edition of its award-winning Women in History program. Volunteers from the school dress and act like a famous woman in history—living or not.
This year’s program featured Sandra O’Neill as Anna Elizabeth Dickinson (an American orator and lecturer), TammyAlridge as Loreta Janeta Velazquez (a Cuban-born woman who masqueraded as a male Confederate soldier during the American Civil War), Jane Griesemer as Rachel Louise Carson (an American marine biologist, author and conservationist) and Tricia Small as Cleopatra VII Philopator (Cleopatra: the last active ruler of Ptolemaic Egypt).
The program was created by Arlidge, an OLM School mother.
