Oscar Weekend Gets Stylish at QVC Red Carpet Party

Oscar weekend kicked off in high fashion Friday night at QVC’s annual Red Carpet Style party, with a few Malibu locals joining in on the fun.

Just in time for the Academy Awards, the shopping network hosted the celebration for designers, stylists and fashion fanatics alike.

Guests including Malibu’s Brooke Burke-Charvet and actresses Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Kate Mara and Kristin Chenoweth dressed to impress for a rainy night out at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills. While sipping on martinis and champagne, fashionistas were able to watch QVC’s “Red Carpet Style” show that was broadcast live from the hotel.

The three-hour program showcased accessories from Izaac Mizrahi, skin care from Kate Somerville and clothes from Dennis Basso and Bob Mackie.

Even Malibu resident Lisa Rinna was able to showcase one of her evening gowns from her QVC collection.

“Thank you to everyone who bought my @QVC #QVCRedCarpetStyle belle gray navy and gold dress! I am honored! Hope you Love it!!! XOLR,” she later tweeted

And although everyone tried to look their absolute best for the party, Joan Rivers experienced quite the fashion mishap at the end of the night.

After discovering Miss Piggy from The Muppets was launching her own QVC line later in the month, Rivers had to confront the character. But instead of coming together, the fashion queens got into a verbal smackdown that led to Miss Piggy pushing Joan into a multi-tiered cake.

Looks like we have a new, juicy feud this award season!
