Children care about other children. They want them to be safe and happy. They just naturally care about life. Children want the world and all that live on it to be safe. They become fearful when they feel their world is endangered.

With this in mind, has your child become fearful since Donald Trump has become president? Are they afraid of what might happen to the safety of their world? Are they concerned about the children whose parents might be deported? Are they concerned about climate change and how it will affect their world?

If the answer is yes to any of these questions, then please sit down and talk with your child. Listen to what they have to say. Then please tell them that they have a voice and their concerns are important to you. Then let tell them they can write a letter to President Trump telling him how they feel.

“Dear President Trump” is a simple way for a child to express his or her care and concerns directly to President Trump. However, please realize that “Dear President Trump” is not about President Trump. Instead, it is about your child realizing that their concerns are important. It is about your child expressing themselves responsibly.
