Steven Lippman and the Blue Project will be recognized on Sept. 9 at the No Leash Required event at the Malibu Wines Tasting Room, located at 31740 Mulholland Highway. The Blue Project was created to showcase innovative oceanic charities and organizations to raise awareness for the disappearing natural environment. The night will feature California-style alfresco dining, catered by Cal-Fresco.

It will include live music featuring Brett Dennen, Everest and DJ Jacques with special guests Nia Peeples and Sam George. A sampling of Mighty Leaf Teas and Groundwork Coffee will be included. There will also be a photo booth from Smashbox and the Blue Project.

A live auction will feature surfboards, designer jewelry, clothing and original donations from world-renowned photographers, painters and board shapers, along with original art from Incubus drummer Jose Antonio Pasillas, sculptor and surfboard shaper Dessa Kirk and others.

Tickets are $50 before the event and $60 at the door. For more information, call 760.753.1103 or go to www.surfaidinternational.org.
