Three seniors — Courtney Assumma, Oksana Nicholls and Amanda La Cave — were honored at the Pepperdine women’s soccer team’s final regular-season home game this past Sunday.
The trio’s special day was made even better by a 1-0 win over Portland, thanks to a single goal by sophomore Bri Visalli in the 100th minute. Her shot was set up by an assist from LaCave. Visalli now leads the Waves with four goals this season in total.
The Waves have three games remaining in the regular season, including a match against Brigham Young University on Oct. 29.
