Local Kira Radstrom helped raise funds for charity by staying on her feet for 26 consecutive hours during an annual dance marathon at UCLA Feb. 16-17.
In its 11 years, the dance marathon has raised more than $3 million for organizations such as the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Project Kindle, a free camp for children affected by AIDS, and the UCLA AIDS Institute. At the annual charity event, Radstrom gathered with students, parents, alumni and community members to dance, learn about AIDS, meet young children who are affected, and commemorate the ongoing fight for a cure.
