For the third year in a row, Malibu dads came together for the holidays at Ollie’s Duck & Dive last Sunday, Dec. 9.
The event—the Malibu Dads’ Holiday Get-Together—generally supports a charity. This year, they chose to raise money for Pavel Kurial, a Malibuite with two sons (ages 9 and 12) who lost his home in the fire. Kurial also lost his wife due to cancer a year ago.
One of the organizers, Steve Clarke, said several other men in attendance had also lost their homes in the Woolsey Fire, but that “all were in good spirits, as there was a tremendous amount of support in the room.”
