Malibu High School hosted its annual All Staff Service Learning Day at the end of February, where staff members had a choice to spend the day volunteering to benefit one of several worthy causes. Choices included making bandannas for shelter animals at the Agoura Animal Shelter (in the hopes of getting them noticed and adopted sooner), making paper Valentine baskets stuffed with goodies for Meals on Wheels recipients, and the MHS Zanmi Club came and showed staff members how to cut t-shirts to send them to women in Haiti who make dolls and baskets with the material.

“It was a fun and meaningful experience for all,” Beth Soloway, service learning coordinator at MHS, described.
