Fallujah 71 will perform on Friday at 8 p.m.

Fallujah 71 is a Topanga rock band with an anti-war message. Their name is “dedicated to the first 71 American soldiers who died in the initial assault on Fallujah in 2004.” The line-up consists of Tony Paradox on guitar/vocals, Donny Darkxz on drums, Lennox Poxy on guitar, and Drew on bass.

Despite their young age, brothers Tony (15) and Donny (11), the band’s core, already have years of experience playing together.

On Friday, Fallujah 71 will perform at the Malibu Inn. A YouTube clip from their first appearance there in August shows the boys with punk haircuts, tearing through an upbeat set while the crowd bounces. The show will be particularly special because the band will open for punk legends Agent Orange and Billy Bones (of The Skulls)-both acknowledged influences on Fallujah 71.

The Malibu Inn is located at 22969 Pacific Coast Highway. Advanced tickets are $10. Tickets on the day of the show are $15. May 9th. Doors will open at 8 p.m.
