New York Times bestselling author T.C. Boyle will appear at Malibu’s Bank of Books this Saturday at 2 p.m. for a signing of his newest book, “Stories II.” Boyle will also be signing the new paperback edition of his novel “San Miguel” at the event.
“Stories II” is a compilation of works from Boyle’s three most recent collections as well as 14 new tales previously unpublished in book format. The new volume contains 58 stories and also includes a preface by Boyle, as he looks back on his writing career.
“San Miguel” is a historical fiction novel based on the lives of two families living on San Miguel Island in the 1880s and 1930s. It tells the tale of their struggle to start a new life and pursue the dream of self-reliance and freedom. “San Miguel” is also a New York Times bestselling book.
There will be copies of Boyle’s “Stories II” available for purchase before the event. However, due to the limited number of books available it is recommend to reserve a copy in advance by calling Bank of Books at 310.457.5699.
“Stories II” will be available in stores on Oct. 3.
