Locals should be able to get their fill of all things Easter this weekend as the City of Malibu sponsors some “action-packed” holiday events.

The Easter party starts 6 p.m. on Friday night at Malibu Bluffs Park where participants ages 11-17 will have the chance to hunt down glow-in-the-dark eggs. The egg hunt starts a 8 p.m. Local teen band Don’t Yell 7 will be on hand to perform before the egg hunt and anyone in attendance will have the chance to play games, buy food and enjoy music until the main glow-in-the-dark event begins. Prized glowing eggs will contain candy and other glowing items.

On Saturday, the annual Easter Hoppening is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. at Bluffs Park. An egg hunt for kids ages 1-10 will begin at noon, while everyone on hand can enjoy an array of food trucks, a turn in a bounce house for $1, photos with the Easter Bunny and cartoon demos.

But the “eggsellent” offerings don’t end there, as adults are invited for an egg hunt of their own after the kids egg hunt is over. Adult prizes include McDonald’s coupons, Duke’s Malibu gift certificates, Chevron gift cards and other retail and dining prizes.

Admission to all the city’s events is free. Make sure to bring your own basket.
