Malibu Middle School Surfers Take Home Trophies

The Malibu Middle School surf team brought home five trophies from the Scholastic Surf Series contest that took place at C Street in Ventura on April 27.

SJ Murphy won fifth place for boys shortboard, Betsey Lee won third place for girls shortboard and Sarah McKenzie won fifth place for girls shortboard. Griffin Churchill took home second place for body-board. Navalis Terzani won third place in boys shortboard.

Next weekend, the team heads to Oceanside to compete in the Scholastic Surf Series State Championships.
