The Malibu High School equestrian team took home several honors last weekend at the Interscholastic Equestrian League Competition at Hanson Dam Equestrian Center, winning Reserve Champion for the Novice Division against more than 40 schools from Los Angeles and Ventura Counties.
Abby Blackwood finished first among 45 competing riders to win the Novice Division Overall Championship title. She was also named champion for the Novice Hunter Division, claiming first place in all three over-fences classes against 34 other riders.
Addit ionally, Edie Denker won Reserve Champion for the Fr e shman Dr e s s age Division.
The final show of the equestrian team’s season will take place April 14 at Hanson Dam Equestrian Center.
