I have lived in Corral Canyon for over 24 years and as a homeowner I have fought five fires near my house. The most recent fire that occurred in Corral Canyon this past night, when the Santa Ana’s were blowing makes me believe that some of the fires were started by arsonists. As we already have high tech surveillance cameras on Webb Way and Malibu Canyon, why can’t we have cameras on the entrances and exits on the other major canyons. This way when a fire does occur we have a time and a date registered on film and an investigation can start on the cars that have come out of the canyon. Corral Canyon would be easy as we are one way in and one way out. How much would it cost to put cameras in? What do you think? What does it cost to fight fires?
