Malibu High School celebrated the winners of the annual PTA Reflections art contest last Wednesday. This year’s contest was themed “The Magic of a Moment.”
The first-place middle school winners are Helen Wuellner, for literature; Jamie Le, for photography; Milo Sposato, for musical composition and Sonny Thatcher, for visual art.
The first-place high school winners are Jordan Michaelson, for photography; Jade Bates, for literature; Ellie O’Neill, for film; Hayley Haag, for dance choreography; Destiny Edman, for musical composition and Frankie Seely, for visual art.
About 250 MHS students submitted entries in one or more of six different categories: photography, literature, film, dance choreography, musical composition and visual art.
The first-place winners will move on to the next level of competition, which encompasses the entire Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District. The competition continues at the regional, state and national levels.
