The Malibu Presbyterian Nursery School Tennis Invitational took place on Sept. 21 at the Malibu Racquet Club. More than 100 adults and children attended the event, enjoying a day of tennis, boutique shopping, a barbecue by “Cowboy Flavor” and an exhibition match by two nationally ranked 13-year old tennis players (Garrett Auproux and T.J. Pura). The event raised more than $13,000 for the nursery school’s rebuilding effort from last year’s Canyon Fire.
Racquet Club general manager Trey Waltke hosted the event. He and five tennis pros volunteered their time and expertise to conduct clinics for the adult and children tennis players.
