With the inspiration of the band Dirty Loops, a few Malibu High School music students have created buzz all over the internet. Their cover of the pop song “Circus,” originally performed by Britney Spears, includes six horns, violin, cello, bass, drums, keyboards, and three vocalists. It took the students over a month to finish their video, which was played at the 2012 graduation ceremony. Students who contributed to the video included Hunter Larsen on lead vocals, Carleigh Madden and Catherine LaRocca on backup vocals, Wes Ritenour on drums, Evan Anthony on keyboards and tenor saxophone, Robben Bixler on bass, Mark Stevenson on trumpet, Paige Schwimer on alto saxophone, Ethan Stockwell on trombone, Lauren Haas on violin and Tanner Porter on cello. Malibu High music teacher Bill Bixler played baritone saxophone. The arrangement was done by Dr. Steve Cole, with audio recording by Cyrus Allyar and Mark Stevenson. Stevenson also shot the video.
