Malibu artist Ellen Lane will participate in the 11th Annual Topanga Canyon Artists’ Studio Tour taking place this weekend in Topanga Canyon.
Lane, who paints and creates found object art and sculptures, has been taking part in the event nearly every year for the past 10 years. She is originally from Milwaukee and moved to Malibu in 1995.
“I have become more intuitive…having my art speak to me as I create, as opposed to my earlier work, which was a more predetermined subject,” Lane said of how her work has changed over the years.
During the studio tour, participants visit studios to observe artists working or discuss works in progress with the artists.
