Former local Wanda Schultz died April 28 in Ocala, Fla. at the age of 71.
Schultz was born on Nov. 25, 1941 in Billings, Mont., where she worked various jobs, including at a bakery, which led to her favorite pastime, baking cakes and other goodies.
Schultz moved to Malibu in 1989, where she was the beloved live-in nanny for the Clifford family for 14 years.
In 2003, Schultz moved to Honolulu and then to Ocala where she lived close to her daughter and grandchildren.
Schultz loved sewing, as well as arts and crafts, from which she drew enormous enjoyment constructing intricate ornaments and holiday decorations each year. Her knack for baking delicious brownies was not lost on friends and family.
Schultz is survived by her children, Fred Schultz of Chesapeake, Va., and Jo Schultz-Kelley of Ocala, as well as her grandchildren.
