Thank you everyone who came to hear the Malibu Community Jazz Ensemble play its concert on June 13. The band has been meeting for nearly two years and we exemplify amateurs dedicated to music. We look forward to next year’s unfolding skills and sincerely hope the City of Malibu cares. The city supported the Jazz Ensemble for over a year and a half. Changes in staff changed our level of support. We’re hoping everyone who believes in making music will voice support for a community jazz band.
Plato said it best: “Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.”
We’ll be active again in autumn.
