Local Malibu author and businesswoman Claire de Ligne Meyer, her husband, cancer survivor Bill Meyer, and their local business Healing in Harmony are participating in The American Cancer Society’s “Relay For Life” on April 24 and 25 at Willow Elementary School in Agoura.
“By Bill and I taking part in ‘Relay For Life,’ we have an opportunity to celebrate not only Bill’s victory over cancer but the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that takes too much,” Claire de Ligne Meyer said in a written statement. “At the same time, we’ll help raise much needed funds and awareness to support the American Cancer Society’s efforts to save more lives.
“At the event, we’ll camp out overnight and take turns walking around the track,” she continued. “It’s 24 hours full of fun, hope and remembrance. Please support our efforts by making a donation or by joining our Relay For Life Team. Together, we have the power to help create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.”
