The following is a subscription cancellation letter to The Los Angeles Times.
It is with great sadness that I’m canceling my subscription to the The Los Angeles Times. The paper has simply become too reflexive in its coverage, too reflective of our nation’s bitter and divisive cultural debate. Perhaps even more painfully, like so much of the media today, its often biased coverage actually feeds the vituperative rhetoric, breeding ever greater animosity and discord in the populace—thereby contributing to the widening divide in our land. Quite a mantle of responsibility to assume. One whose moral underpinnings I would question.
After 44 years, I shall miss you, my breakfast companion.
