Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Jennifer Seetoo, the former top cop in Malibu, has been transferred by the sheriff to West Hollywood.

The former liaison to Malibu was effectively demoted earlier in October. Information last week indicated Seetoo was not only no longer Malibu liaison but was no longer working out of the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station.

Malibu/Lost Hills Captain Matthew Vander Horck told KBUU News last week he was “devastated” by the news, and that Seetoo has been his friend for 16 years.

The sheriff’s department frequently uses transfers to distant work locations as a punitive measure, according to lawsuits filed by numerous employees. Seetoo is a resident of the Calabasa area.
