Joanne Shea Cole died from pancreatic cancer on Nov. 27 in Albany, New York. She was 69 years old.
A lifelong vegetarian and yogi, Joanne devoted her time to healing practices and service to others. She was actively in the process of getting a degree in addiction counseling.
Cole divided her time between her homes in Malibu and Hollywood, Florida.
“She loved the beach and the ocean and no place was more special to her than the Hamptons, where she spent many happy years,” a loved one said.
Cole is survived by her partner of 25 years, Sandy Cole, her son David (Laura) Shea and her granddaughters, Sophie and Tatum Shea.
Private memorial services for family and friends will take place later this year in the Hamptons and in California. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, the Daily Word or Science of Mind.
