Mayor Andy Stern signs the final contract for the city’s purchase of a portion of Bluffs Park on Friday. The contract has been sent to several state officials for their signatures and then will be returned to Malibu. City Manager Katie Lichtig said after the contract is returned, $2 million that Malibu is paying for the purchase of the 10-acre piece of land, which includes ball fields, the Landon Center and a running path, can be placed into an escrow account.
