A DUI and driver’s license checkpoint in Malibu on Friday night led to two DUI arrests and 25 other arrests for miscellaneous violations, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The checkpoint was held at Carbon Canyon Road and Pacific Coast Highway from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m. overnight on Friday, with 2,786 total vehicles passing through.
Along with two DUI arrests, one driver was arrested for a felony grand theft warrant, another driver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and three were arrested for outstanding warrants.
Eight drivers were arrested and sent to court for driving with a suspended or revoked license. Six unlicensed drivers were arrested and sent to court, while six others were arrested and sent to court for not having their driver’s license with them.
